The man who nailed three pit bull puppies to a railroad track in Albany then left them to die has accepted a plea deal.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The man who nailed three pit bull puppies to a railroad track in Albany then left them to die has accepted a plea deal.

31-year-old Anthony Walker of Albany pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals on Tuesday.

In September, police say Walker nailed the three puppies to the tracks near North Pearl Street in Albany.

Two of the puppies survived but the third died.

As part of the deal, Walker will serve six months in jail and five years of probation.

He will not be allowed to own or live with any animals as part of that probation.

Walker will be sentenced on August 13.
