A humane society in Utica says the dog found on Thursday extremely underweight and dehydrated was up and alert Friday morning, but warn the next few days are crucial to her survival.

Utica (WSYR-TV) – A humane society in Utica says the dog found on Thursday extremely underweight and dehydrated was up and alert Friday morning, but warn the next few days are crucial to her survival.

The stray dog, named Autumn by the Stevens Swan Humane Society, was found running stray with a shoelace tied around her neck on Whitesboro Street on Thursday.

Autumn is 40 pounds underweight and needs to pass bones that are in her GI tract from eating anything she could.

A group called Lainey's Army is offering a $1,500 reward for “information leading to the conviction of the people who did this to this dog.”

The Stevens Swan Humane Society is also accepting monetary donations, dog beds and toys.
