Oswego County man accused of stealing more than 2000 prescription pills

A Martville man is facing felony charges after police accused him of breaking into a pharmacy in the town of Hannibal and stealing more than 2000 hydrocodone pills.
Oswego (WSYR-TV) – A Martville man is facing felony charges after police accused him of breaking into a pharmacy in the town of Hannibal and stealing more than 2000 hydrocodone pills.

According to Oswego County Sheriff's Investigators, 29-year-old Johnathan Richards of 112 Martville Rd., damaged a door while breaking into the business in December 2012.

He was arrested on Wednesday.

They charged him with criminal mischief in the third degree, burglary in the third degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies; as well as petit larceny.

He was arraigned in Town of Granby Court and taken to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to court on April 30.
