Town of Skaneateles (WSYR-TV) – Police have identified a man who was killed in an early-morning accident in the town of Skaneateles on Wednesday.

The crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. when a Toyota Sienna speeding northbound struck a tractor trailer turning left onto at the intersection of Stump Road and Jordan Road, according to police.

They say the vehicle passed underneath the tractor-trailer before stopping.

26-year-old Patrick Hallinan of Stonesthrow Road in Elbridge was killed during the crash.

The Toyota’s driver was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition.

The tractor-trailer operator was not injured.

Police have not indicated whether anyone has been charged. They also have not said whether anyone has been ticketed as a result of the crash.

An officer at the scene told NewsChannel 9 that they were investigating whether alcohol contributed to the crash. A police report released in the afternoon on Wednesday did not indicate whether they were still investigating that avenue or if they had ruled it out.
