Police identify two men killed in Vienna car fire after crash

Police have identified the two men that were killed in a car accident in Oneida County on June 8.

Vienna (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Police have identified the two men that were killed in a car accident in Oneida County on June 8.

State Police say that 21-year-old Angelo Gonzalez of Camden, New York and 20-year-old Tyler Laplante were killed when Gonzalez lost control of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, hit a tree and flipped before the vehicle burst into flames around 2 a.m.

A second passenger, 22-year-old Justin Dido, was injured but able to escape.

Laplante was originally thought to have been the driver of the vehicle.

It is believed that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

State Police are still investigating the accident and are asking for anyone with information to call (315) 366-6047.
