Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Justice has prevailed for a Camillus woman after Syracuse Police received a tip from a NewsChannel 9 viewer identifying the suspected driver in a hit-and-run incident at Destiny USA.

Carolyn Wright’s Cadillac was left with nearly $4,500 worth of repair bills when a van jumped a curb at Destiny USA and smashed right into it.

The incident that was caught on a surveillance camera happened on Thursday, Sept. 5 just before 6 p.m.

Police were hoping to receive tips on the identity of the van or driver after the footage aired on NewsChannel 9.

They received the tip this week from a viewer who saw the story.

Police tell NewsChannel 9 that 37-year-old Shannon Vineyard of 1214 Elm Circle in Camillus has been ticketed for leaving the scene of a property damage incident.

Vineyard is not the registered owner of the 2003 Chevrolet Venture and offered no explanation for why she allegedly hit the parked vehicle and didn’t report it.
