Nedrow (WSYR-TV) – Sheriff’s Investigators took a man suspected of robbing a bank in Nedrow into custody on Thursday morning with the help of a retired cop and a District Attorney's Office investigator.

The suspect allegedly robbed an M&T Bank location across from the Green Hills Plaza on South Salina Street.

They say the suspect told a teller he had a bomb and displayed an object consisting of a pipe and wires before leaping over the counter and taking cash.

When he left the bank, the suspect was chased by retired Onondaga County Sheriff's Office Deputy Vern Doctor and Onondaga County District Attorney's Office Investigator Tim McCarthy, who quickly caught him about 300 yards from the location.
