State Police identify 2 killed in Pompey motorcycle crash

State Police have released the identities of a man and woman killed in a motorcycle crash in the town of Pompey on Sunday.

Pompey (WSYR-TV) – State Police have released the identities of a man and woman killed in a motorcycle crash in the town of Pompey on Sunday.

Police say Douglas Ochsner, 44, of Route 11 in LaFayette, was traveling east on State Route 20 when his motorcycle struck a guide rail.

The accident occurred at 7:26 p.m., according to police.

They say both Ochsner and his passenger – Rebecca Larobardiere, 43, of Waterbury Drive in North Syracuse – were thrown from the motorcycle.

Ochsner was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital, where he later died.

Larobardiere was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not indicated why the motorcycle left the roadway.

They say they are still investigating.
