Suspect charged with arson of mobile home belonging to man charged in deadly Rt. 57 crash

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection to a fire at a mobile home belonging to Muhammad Baqir, who was charged in a deadly car crash on Route 57.
Clay (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection to a fire at a mobile home belonging to Muhammad Baqir, who was charged in a deadly car crash on Route 57.

31-year-old Joshua Brennan of 4717 Grosvenor Rd. in Clay was arrested at about 12:15pm on Friday.

Detectives say Brennan burglarized and set fire to Baqir’s home located at 5500 Grosvenor Rd. on Dec. 2.

Brennan has been charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Arson in the 3rd Degree - both felonies.

He was arraigned Friday afternoon and is currently being held in the Justice Center without bail.

The Sheriff’s Office says it is continuing its investigating into the incident.
