Syracuse cold case to be broadcast nationwide

The Stackhouse family has been looking for answers to their son’s disappearance for seven years.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Stackhouse family has been looking for answers to their son’s disappearance for seven years.

Tonight, the case of Larry Stackhouse’s disappearance will receive national attention. His parents hope the story on “Find Our Missing” on the network “TV One” will lead to answers.

Stackhouse was 18 years old when he disappeared after going to a high-school basketball game.

Syracuse Police followed leads indicating that something happened to him on the Onondaga Nation territory but the case has been cold since then.

“We're going to continue to look for our son and we're going to find him,” said the missing man’s mother, Lorraine Stackhouse.

His father says the family wants a conclusion.

“We certainly need closure,” said Larry Stackhouse Sr.

Stackhouse’s case has received national attention in the past. In April 2012, a post on the man’s disappearance appeared on The Huffington Post.

The Syracuse Police Department’s Cold Case Squad is handling the investigation.

The story will air at 9 p.m. on “TV One.”
