Victim in deadly Oswego County logging accident identified

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a 45-year-old man who was killed Friday morning in a logging accident.

Constantia (WSYR-TV) – The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a 45-year-old man who was killed Friday morning in a logging accident.

They say Jerald Platt of Camden died after a falling tree struck him.

The incident occurred in a wooded area off of Cook Road in the town of Constantia.

Sheriff’s Investigators responded to the scene around 8:20 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.
