12th annual charity sports auction kicks off in the Dome on Saturday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - If you still have some holiday shopping left to do for the sports fan in your life, head to the backcourt at the SU basketball game this Saturday.

More than 350 items will be up for bid as part of the 12th annual charity sports auction.

Among them, a roundtrip for two from Jet Blue, two large screen TVs and a basketball signed by former Orange player Tyler Ennis.

This year's charity auction will benefit the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center.
“All the money's gonna stay locally, right here to help victims of child physical and sexual abuse,” said Kyle O’Connor, auction co-chair.

Doors open this Saturday at 10 a.m., and silent bidding will continue through the start of the game at noon.

Fans can place their bids halftime before the auction closes at the start of the second half.

Since its inception, the auction has raised more than $320,000 for local charities.
