16-year-old charged with rape on Tully High School campus

Court Documents: Attacker was known to 15-year old victim

TULLY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A 16-year-old from Preble is facing a first-degree rape charge, State Police say, for an incident that happened on the Tully Junior Senior High School campus on Tuesday afternoon.

They say it happened in a vehicle on school grounds. 

According to court documents the victim was a 15-year-old female who knew her attacker.

In her statement to police the girl says, "I was scared and I was shouting 'Get off.  Knock it off.' I remember screaming 'No."

State Police and the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office are currently investigating. 

The school is conducting their own internal investigation to see if there was a violation of the student Code of Conduct.

The teen was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. 

He was able to post bond Wednesday afternoon and was released.
