17-year-old acquitted in Boyden Street murder

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A 17-year-old has been acquitted in connection with the stabbing death of an 18-year-old girl in Syracuse’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Farod Mosley was charged with second-degree murder after Jada Dame was stabbed to death at her apartment in January 2016.

Mosley was acquitted on Thursday night after a two-week trial.

The jury deliberated for three hours before reaching its decision.

Mosley’s attorney, Charles Keller, challenged the credibility of the prosecutors’ witness and also raised issues surrounding the forensic evidence gathered at the scene.

Mosley had multiple other arrests before police charged him with killing Dame.
