17-year-old charged in Homer High School threat investigation

HOMER, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A 17-year-old is facing criminal charges after an investigation into an unspecified threat at Homer High School.

Students and staff at the school “sheltered in place” on Tuesday shortly after the threat was discovered written on a door at the school.

Police swept through the school and were unable to find anything to substantiate the threat.

On Tuesday evening, the teenager was arrested in connection with the incident.

He was charged with first-degree falsely reporting an incident, a class D felony.

He was arraigned in Town of Homer Court, and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
