WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM-TV) - - There were some scary moments at Watkins Glen State Park following reports of a rock slide on Friday.
Park Police say that around 12:30 p.m., two park visitors, a 53-year-old female and a 50-year-old male, were injured by falling rocks.
The incident occurred on a pathway leading into the entrance of the Gorge Trail.
As a result, the park's rock scaling crew surveyed the area this afternoon and will reinspect the Gorge Trail in the coming days.
The two individuals were taken to the Schuyler County Hospital for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.
The New York State Park Police are continuing the investigation at this time.
