3 arrested on meth charges after Rome traffic stop

ROME, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Three men are facing criminal charges after what began as a traffic stop ended in a meth bust early Sunday morning.

Police pulled the men over on Black River Boulevard in Rome around 2:15 a.m.

While they were talking to the men in the vehicle, they allegedly discovered two active one-pot meth devices, along with material and equipment associated with methamphetamine manufacturing.

All three were charged with third-degree manufacturing meth, a class D felony.

They arrested:
- Jason Johnston, 34, of Rome
- Codilee Lighthall, 19, of Rome
- Daryan Nichols, 19, of Boonville

Johnston was also charged with driving with a suspended license and a suspended registration.

All three of them are being held in the Rome Police lockup.
