41 pounds of marijuana seized from SUNY Oswego student

OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A 19-year-old SUNY Oswego student was charged on Sunday for allegedly having 41 pounds of marijuana on him during a traffic stop.

The student is a sophomore and is from Whitestone in Queens, the university told NewsChannel 9 on Wednesday.

He was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and vehicular equipment violations.

The student was sent to Oswego County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

No word yet on what this could mean for his status as a student at the school.
