CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The Cicero-North Syracuse High School marching band will march for the first time in the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Northstars will be representing the state of New York.
Karen Seamans, who serves as the director of bands for the school, was elated by the news.
“Our band is so honored to be selected for participation in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade is an American institution and our inclusion will create lifelong memories for our students, staff, and families that will be relived every holiday season. “For me, as a band director, the selection of the C-NS Northstars fulfills a career-long dream,” she said.
The Northstars were selected from among 100 applicants to participate in the parade.
Ten bands will march in the parade.
