Camillus (WSYR-TV) – Fire ripped through the clubhouse and restaurant at the Camillus Country Club on Bennetts Corners Road near Route 5 on Wednesday morning.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officials say the fire was reported around 3 a.m.

Camillus Fire Chief Douglas Groesbeck said the building was fully engulfed in flames when he arrived.

10 departments responded to the fire.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause.

The building was undergoing renovations, but officials do not know whether they contributed to the fire.

Groesbeck said extinguishing fire in an underground kitchen was particularly challenging for his crews.

The golf course is closed today.
