GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Today is Monday Aug. 28-- Day 6 of the Great New York State Fair!

It’s Law Enforcement Day, Senior Citizen’s Day, and Wade Shows Midway Monday.

Law Enforcement Day allows free admission to any active or retired law enforcement or corrections personnel who presents a badge and/or picture ID from the department from which they are or were employed.

Senior citizens, sixty (60) years of age and older, are offered free admission on this day of the Fair. ID showing date of birth may be requested to allow free admittance.

At 1 p.m., you can catch Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits at Chevy Court. Kansas will take the Chevy Court stage at 8 p.m.

If you want to meet your favorite NewsChannel 9 reporters and anchors, they will be available at our spot near the dairy products building at the following times:

11 a.m.-Noon Sistina Giordano and TeNesha Murphy
1 p.m.-2 p.m: Rick Reagan
2 p.m.-3 p.m. Carrie Lazarus and Jim Teske
3 p.m.- 4p.m: Dan Cummings and Christie Casciano

Everyday, you can catch other musical performances at the Empire Theater, the NYS Grange Stage or the Empire Experience Stage.

You can also catch various animal shows and competitions throughout the day.

For Wade Shows Midway Monday, special limited wristbands offer 10 rides for only $10.00. Wristbands can be purchased at any Wade Shows ticket booth on the midway. Wristbands are not shareable.

Make sure to attend the Law Enforcement Day ceremonies at 12:00 p.m. in front of the Horticulture Building and make sure to see all the law enforcement participants in our Special Day Parade at 6:00 p.m.
