City of Syracuse announces yard waste pickup schedule

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Although it might not feel like it, spring has officially arrived in Central New York.

On Friday, the city of Syracuse announced its seasonal yard and construction debris pickup schedule.

Beginning on April 1 and continuing through October, the city DPW will be picking up yard trimmings, limbs, and other items.

Crews will spend two weeks in each quadrant initially. After that, pickup will be conducted by quadrant.

Yard waste and debris should be set out on the sidewalk or curb on the specified dates.

Please do not set it out on the street or around fire hydrants or sewer vents.

Residents should limit their pickups to the size of a washer and a dryer side by side.
