Cops: Port Byron bus aide had illegal sexual contact with a 14-year-old

PORT BYRON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A school bus aide in the Port Byron school district is facing charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

25-year-old Tessa Davis of Port Byron was arrested on July 18, and charged with second-degree rape, a felony.

State Police say Davis and her alleged victim did not know each other through the district.

The investigation began on July 3, and Davis was arrested on July 18.

They say they lived in the same apartment complex.

Davis was jailed in the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

She was still in custody on Monday, and is scheduled to appear in Village of Port Byron Court on Tuesday.
