Cops: Seneca Falls man sent sexually explicit images, messages to a child

WATERLOO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A Seneca Falls man is facing felony charges after he allegedly sent sexually explicit images and messages to an underage victim.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office charged 50-year-old Rocco Assi with:

- First-degree criminal sexual act, a felony
- Second-degree dissemination of indecent materials, a felony
- Endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor

Investigators say the suspect sent the materials to a child living in the town of Fayette.

Assi was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 26.
