The Vice President for University Relations Joel Malina says the school has revoked recognition of Chi Psi fraternity effective immediately.
The fraternity was placed on probationary status last year, then had chapter operations paused this March. The school says the chapter facility will be closed at the end of this semester.
Over the last three years, the university has investigated multiple reports of hazing including:
- Hazing death of a pledge in 2011
- Accusations of sexually humiliating pledges in 2012
- Suspension of the men’s lacrosse team in 2013
