Cortland Co. owners facing charges after SPCA finds emaciated dog

TOWN OF CUYLER, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Two Cortland County residents were arrested Monday after the SPCA and sheriff’s deputies found several unlicensed dogs and at least one emaciated dog on their property.

52-year-old Tina Bush and 34-year-old Brad Bush were charged with one count of animal cruelty to a canine after Country Acres Pet Services received a tip about a dog that had come into their shelter in November that was in emaciated condition.

SPCA investigators say additional charges are possible if any of the dogs seized are in similar condition to the dog that was the basis of the initial arrest.

The two were arraigned and released on their own recognizance. They are due back in court on Jan. 11, 2017.
