Police: Welding spark likely ignited Cicero fire

CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Multiple fire crews responded to a fire near A&P Auto Parts in Cicero on Tuesday morning.

Cicero Police say investigators believe the fire was caused by an errant spark from a welding tool.

Departments from Cicero, Mattydale, North Syracuse, and Brewerton responded to the scene.

Initially reported as a structure fire, crews discovered that the smoke was  billowing from debris behind the building.

Police say the fire was under control within "15, 20 minutes."
