Syracuse Police officers were caught up in the spirit of giving Thursday afternoon.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police officers were caught up in the spirit of giving Thursday afternoon.

Police Chief Frank Fowler and his officers served more than 200 turkey dinners at the Salvation Army’s Senior Center on South Warren Street.

The department says it’s a tradition they look forward to each year.

“It’s our way of giving back,” said Syracuse Police Officer Kevin Corcoran. “Pay it forward.”

Plans are also in motion for the Salvation Army’s Bureau Drive.

They’re collecting non-perishable foods, along with toys and money, until Distribution Day at the Oncenter on Dec. 21.

Anyone who would like to volunteer should visit the Salvation Army’s website.
