Delaware school goes into 'lockout' while Syracuse Police investigate shots fired complaint

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Students at Delaware Elementary School in Syracuse went into "lockout" while police investigated a shots fired complaint in the area of Fitch Street on Thursday.

School officials say the gun was reportedly fired across the street from the school.

Police say they believe the school resumed its normal schedule shortly after the incident.

Police did not receive and reports of anyone being injured by gunfire, nor do they have any suspect information.

They received multiple calls about shots fired in the area before they responded.
