Deputies: Drunk driver charged in crash that killed Chenango County man

Greene (WSYR-TV) - A man has been charged with the death of a Chenango County man after a car crash in the early morning hours of Friday.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Bradley Goodrich was intoxicated while driving his 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier on Hogsback Road near County Road 32 in the town of Greene at about 2:00 a.m.

Deputies say 23-year-old Brandon Archer of Greene was a lone passenger when the car struck a utility pole.

Archer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Goodrich was airlifted to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City with internal injuries, according to deputies.

Goodrich has been charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, a Class D felony and Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, a Class C felony.

He will be arraigned upon his release from the hospital.

Deputies say further charges may be pending.
