Deputies: Homer man arrested after meth lab found in garage

Homer (WSYR-TV) - A Homer man has been arrested after the Cortland County Sheriff Office says an active meth lab was discovered at his home.

Deputies say they were called to the home of 43-year-old Michael Martin Sr. on East River Road at about 10 a.m. to inspect a suspicious container found in an attached garage.

After further investigation, deputies say they found several items used to manufacture methamphetamine, including 13 gas generators and 4 one-pot meth labs.

Martin has been charged with:
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A2 felony
  • Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, a Class D felony
  • Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, a Class E felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, a Class A misdemeanor
He was arraigned in the Town of Homer Court and taken to Cortland County Jail without bail.

Martin is due to reappear in the Town of Homer Court on May 20 at 4:00 p.m.
