Driver ticketed after serious crash on Victor Thruway exit

The driver was ticketed for failing to 'Move Over' for emergency vehicles

VICTOR, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - A driver has been ticketed after four people were hospitalized following a crash on the Thruway at the Victor exit.

Around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, the driver of a Dodge Stratus hit the rear of a Ford Fusion, which then hit a tow truck due to the force of the collision.

Responders on the scene said that a tow truck was in the process of recovering a vehicle when the truck, truck driver, and the driver of the vehicle being recovered were all struck.

The tow truck driver was seriously injured, however, they were sent to Strong Memorial Hospital and underwent surgery. The tow truck operator is listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning.

Three others with injuries are expected to survive.

The driver of the Dodge was ticketed for failing to "Move Over" for emergency vehicles.
