EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Students in the East Syracuse Minoa School District celebrated the completion of renovations at their middle school Friday with a ribbon cutting.
The celebration at Pine Grove Middle School came after two years of renovations.
The building itself was completed in 1969 and was in desperate need of an overhaul.
Nearly four years ago, district voters approved the rehab and expansion project.
The project included modernizing the building and adding 12,000 square feet of new space.
“It signifies the support for education that is so strong throughout the ESM community and it signifies that we believe that all of our students should be in a facility that truly supports learning in the 21st century,” said superintendent Dr. Donna Desiato.
Following the dedication, students, faculty and families got the chance to tour the building and it's facilities.
