SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Recent statistics from the Onondaga County Health Department show that the flu season may be winding down.
The 2017-18 flu season has been particularly rough – with many areas seeing higher than average flu activity.
The most recent numbers show that Onondaga County had 89 cases in the week ending March 4 – down from 158 the week before.
The new total marks the lowest since December.
The decline follows a national trend – with the Centers of for Disease Control and Prevention noting fewer cases in recent weeks.
