Report: Greg Paulus to be named Louisville assistant men's hoops coach

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WSYR-TV) - Former Christian Brothers Academy and Duke star Greg Paulus will be named Louisville assistant men’s basketball coach, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Paulus was a football and basketball star while at CBA, he went on to play college basketball at Duke and was a quarterback for one season for the Syracuse University football team.

Paulus has been an assistant basketball coach at Ohio State University - but has not worked for a collegiate program since Thad Matta left the Buckeyes' program.

The Louisville program has been in turmoil since the recent firing of Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino.

According to the Courier-Journal, his appointment to the assistant coach post will be announced at 2 p.m.
