SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub is expected to be one of the biggest additions to the former Hotel Syracuse since it reopened as the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
The pub is supposed to open by the end of next month and will be the hotel’s second restaurant.
It’ll be a place for Central New Yorkers to grab a bite and a drink and cheer on their favorite sports team.
The floors are made from the same hardwood used by the Syracuse Nationals NBA team, which was stored for years until hotel owner Ed Riley purchased them from Onondaga County.
Shaughnessy's is going to have a more casual feel, as opposed to Eleven Waters— the hotel’s first restaurant. It’ll have comfort food, pub food and will be beer centric.
