Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – An Ovid woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing $4,000 from an elderly woman who employed her.

Stacey Courtright, 24, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police believe Courtright forged the victim’s signature on checks and then cashed them.

Courtright surrendered to Ithaca Police on July 30.

She was released on her own recognizance following her Friday arraignment.
