Lineup for the 35th Syracuse Jazz Fest announced

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - American Musical Legends Todd Rundgren & Ramsey Lewis join The Mavericks, New Orleans' rebirth brass band, and 10-time Grammy-winners Asleep At The Wheel to co-headline 35th annual M&T Syracuse Jazz Fest

The 35th Jazz Fest will be held on the Onondaga Community College campus on June 9 and 10.

The 2017 festival will feature performances by a sextet of Award-winning headliners and national artists, including:

  • American music industry legend Todd Rungren
  • Americana greats and 2-time ACM, 2-time CMA & Grammy Award winners The Mavericks
  • Jazz piano legend and NEA Jazz Master Ramsey Lewis
  • New Orleans Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band
  • 10-time Grammy winners and the reigning 'Kings of Western Swing,’  Ray Benson & Asleep At The Wheel
  • Soul newcomer Marc Broussard from Lafayette Louisiana.

Five ensembles will also feature Syracuse-based performers.

Also, some of Carrie Lazarus’ Extraordinary talents, 14-year-old Canen and jazz trumpeter Nick DiMaria.
