1 in critical condition following Downtown Syracuse stabbing

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - One person is in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest during an incident in Downtown Syracuse Wednesday morning.

The stabbing, which occurred on South Clinton Street around 11:20 a.m., left three men injured.

One man was stabbed in the arm and another in the head. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

All three were sent to the hospital.

Detectives are looking into what led up to the incident. 

Several calls to 911 were placed regarding a large fight in the area.

The area of South Clinton Street, near West Onondaga and West Jefferson Streets were blocked off.
