SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Two Syraucuse 15-year-olds are facing arson charges after a fire engulfed a South Side home on Wednesday.
According to Syracuse Police, witnesses told officers that they saw two young men leave the vacant residence at 343 Rich Street immediately before the flames became visible inside the residence.
Investigating officers were able to locate the two teens, who were still in the area.
No one was injured in the fire, but the house suffered extensive damage.
The two 15-year-olds were charged with third-degree arson.
They were both released on appearance tickets to family members and are set to appear in Family Court at a later date.
Due to their ages, their names and mug shots are not being released.
