4 hospitalized after school bus crash in Livingston County

MOUNT MORRIS, NY (WROC-TV) - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident involving a school bus and a car on State Route 408 in the Town of Mount Morris.

The accident happened Saturday night on Mount Morris-Nunda Road. Four people were injured, including three students on the bus.

Authorities say the crash involve a sedan and a Rochester City School Bus with 24 members of the Edison Tech indoor track team on board. The team was returning home from a track meet at Houghton College.

According to the accident report, the driver of the sedan, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.

Deputies also say three teenagers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A section of the road was closed for a few hours while emergency crews were on location. It has since opened back up to traffic.

Weather and road conditions are believed to have played a factor. The accident is still under investigation.
