Alfred Angelo breaks its silence following bridal store closings across the country

DEWITT, N.Y.(WSYR-TV) - Bridal chain Alfred Angelo is breaking its silence following the closure of more than 60 stores, including a location in DeWitt.

The company released this statement on their website Sunday, days after closing doors across the country.

"Alfred Angelo filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 14, 2017.  As a result, all stores and wholesalers are closed. Margaret Smith was appointed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. If you wish to be contacted regarding your order status once information is available please send an email to: alfredangelo@mjstrustee.com. We will post additional information regarding the status of dresses on this web-site as it becomes available. We apologize for the inconvenience and hardship resulting from this event. We appreciate your patience. Thank you."

Customers looking for information about their wedding order are being asked to send an email to alfredangelo@mjstrustee.com.

Brides and wedding guests were left scrambling, given only a limited amount of time to collect their dresses. A line quickly grew outside the Alfred Angelo Bridal on Erie Boulevard Thursday, as word spread the store was closing fast.

More information will be made available on the companies website.
