Arrest made in early morning burglary and assault

Man was stabbed in head with sharp object

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police have arrested Charles Luttrell after a stabbing early Sunday morning.

Police say shortly before 6 a.m. Luttrell entered the victim's home without permission on the 100 block of Delong Avenue. He began fighting with the 50-year-old victim, striking them with a bat and cutting their face with an unknown object. The two know each other.

Luttrell was found a distance away from the home and was arrested. He was charged with second-degree Burglary, second-degree Assault, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
