Rochester-area JCC cleared after bomb threat Tuesday morning

Public are being warned to stay away

BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson confirms they will be meeting with the FBI to discuss the bomb threat made against the JCC in Brighton.

Arnie Sohinki, the Executive of the Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center, confirms the call came in this morning. He says between 75-80 people were evacuated after they received the bomb threat Tuesday morning..

Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson and the JCC say they have been working on protocols for an emergency since threats again JCC's nationwide started happening.

The building was cleared and re-opened Tuesday morning after it was determined there was no bomb and no further threats against the Jewish Community Center.
