Butter sculpture to be revealed at the Fair tomorrow

GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - One of the most popular attractions at the Fair is the butter sculpture in the Dairy Products Building, and on Tuesday, fans will get the big reveal as to what the 2017 sculpture is.

Last year's work of art was called "Milk Life" and celebrated the success of team USA and athletes from New York state during the Olympics.

800 pounds of butter are used to craft the sculpture. After the fair, the butter will be transported to a local farm, where it will be combined with food waste and transformed into a renewable energy and food for crops.

NewsChannel 9 will be live streaming Tuesday’s butter sculpture spoiler beginning at 9:30 a.m. at LocalSYR.com.
