Cortland County lifts travel ban

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Officials in Cortland County have lifted a travel ban that was introduced Tuesday in the midst of a severe winter storm that swept through Central New York.

The ban was lifted at 8 a.m., and all roads are now open.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office cautions that roads are still slippery and snow covered.

They are asking people to continue to exercise caution while driving as snow continues to fall, and gusting creates poor visibility.
