BALDWINSVILLE (WSYR-TV) - Could you imagine a day without water?
Most of us take it for granted, but it's a question that brought officials from the Onondaga County Water Authority (OCWA) and Anheuser-Busch's Baldwinsville brewery together.
"No water, no beer," Nick Offredi, Budweiser's brewmaster said. "You have to have good ingredients. And water is the biggest one"
Tuesday is national "Imagine a Day Without Water 2017", which aims to get people thinking about how important water is to communities.
Anheuser-Busch is the second largest user of water in Onondaga County.
Onondaga County's water supply checks most of the needs major companies like Budweiser look for when finding a place to make their product: reliability, low cost, and high quality.
"It makes us competitive," Michael Hooker, the executive director of OCWA said. "That's what we want to be, attractive for companies to come here and stay here."
Th county is currently undergoing major renovations to its water plant in Oswego, where about half the people in the area have their water treated.
