Daughter continues search for Oswego County man continues five years later

CENTRAL SQUARE (WSYR-TV) - A Central Square woman is continuing the search for her father— an Oswego County man who went for a walk five years ago, and never came home.

"I came home from my senior ball and I was told he went missing, " Beverly Humphrey said. "I always thought he'll come back."

Beverly’s father, John Humphrey, was last seen walking along State Route 104 in the Town of New Haven, not far from the fire department. It was 11:30 on the morning of June 2, 2012.

Beverly says her father had a long history of mental illness including depression and bipolar disorder.

"Not knowing hurts the most. Not seeing hurts. He was a great father, awesome person. Now he's not here," Humphrey said.

As the years pass, she still believes someone, who knows what happened to the father of five, will come forward.

John Humphrey is a 53-year-old white male who is 5’6” and weighs around 120 pounds. He has gray hair with a beard and moustache.

Those who have information about potential sightings or the whereabouts of Humphrey are asked to contact State Police Investigator Benjamin Miller at 315-598-2112
