Deputies: Baldwinsville man leads police on a chase, charged with DWI

Suspect arrested after crashing his car into a snowbank

CLAY (WSYR-TV) - A Baldwinsville man is facing multiple charges after taking off when a deputy tried to pull him over for speeding Sunday, according to police.
Deputies with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office say 22-year-old Asif Khan of Baldwinsville, was spotted near Route 31 and Oswego Road in the Town of Clay around 1:45 a.m. 
A deputy patrolling the area stopped the vehicle and was walking to the window when Khan reportedly pulled away. 
After following Khan for several miles, deputies say he lost control and crashed into a snowbank in the Village of Liverpool. He has minor injuries.
Detectives arrested Khan for DWI.
He was also charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and was issued several traffic tickets.
