Deputies: Convicted rapist on parole charged with robbing grandfather

MARCY (WSYR-TV) - Investigators say a man convicted of rape in 2014 and released on parole has been arrested again, charged with robbing his grandfather.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say Joshua Jones is accused of injuring his 73-year-old grandfather's arms during an altercation Saturday night around 11 p.m. at a home in Marcy.

Deputies were told an argument between the men turned physical when Jones demanded money and the victim refused to give it to him.

Jones is in jail on $25,000 cash bail, charged with second-degree robbery, a felony.
